About

After college, I spent the next 11 years of my life taking x-rays. Then I turned my attention towards education. I began teaching high school math and science. I did this for 6 years. During my summer vacations I was able to travel in America, Europe, and Asia. I always had my camera by my side when traveling. I managed to take some pretty good pictures while I was traveling. Many of my friends said my pictures could be postcards. Photography has been a big part of my life since high school, which is when I got my first camera. Finally, in the summer of 2006 I decided to participate in an intensive photography course where I learned about all aspects of photography in the hopes of starting my own photography business.

During the summer of 2006, I invested in Nikon’s D200 when it came out and I could not be happier with the camera. The picture quality is awesome and I don’t have to scan my slides onto the computer anymore. I don’t have to worry about dust. I don’t have to worry about the price of film or the cost for developing that film. I truly believe that high tech digital cameras made me a better photographer. I don’t worry about how many pictures I take now. I am free to experiment with new things. All of this has been beneficial to me.

I was so intrigued by Japan during my summer travels I decided to move there for one year. After my summer intensive photography course, I thought Japan would be a good place to start a business. So, I moved back in September of 2006. I have some ideas for books. I just need to find the right publisher. I am trying to use the web and some local contacts to sell my photos. Please view my photo gallery and contact me if you are interested in purchasing any photos. Please go to http://fotologue.jp/kevinbrown to view my work.
